err ox door....ah...i know what u mean .... nope the first character is not Ox. I know is confusing as the character WU (meaning afternoon) resembles NIU (OX). The difference is the latter has the verticals stroke protruding out of the first horizontal stroke... aiks... mandarin is tough.. isn't it. = )

Apparently the "ox gate" you see is called 'Wu men' in mandarin meaning the 'Meridian Gate'
the "sun gate" u see is called "Tai He Men" in mandarin meaning the gate of supreme harmony
